Our Story
It all began in 1999, when a 13-year-old boy opened his first pack of Pokémon cards. It was a time of pure joy — a core memory that shaped a lifelong love for the hobby. Back then, trading cards wasn’t about value or rarity; it was about passion. I remember swapping cards based on what I liked, not what they were worth. I never owned a Charizard, but I didn’t mind — Blastoise was my boy. Fast forward 26 years, and I found myself drawn back into the world of Pokémon. But something had changed. The simplicity was gone. No longer could I walk into the local newsagents and grab a pack with spare change. Everything was expensive, overhyped, and hard to find. Scalpers and bots had taken over, making it nearly impossible for genuine fans to enjoy the hobby. That’s why I created Pack Mentality — to bring fairness back to collecting. Our mission is simple: make Pokémon products accessible to real fans at the recommended retail price. No markups. No artificial scarcity. Just honest collecting, the way it was meant to be.
